Good Shepherd has been an absolute blessing to my family. We had a very anxious, doubtful child who had previously come to believe that a school wasn’t a safe place, and that his needs would never be met. However, the patience and genuine care that was shown during the slow process of restoring his faith and trust in the school environment just blew me away! It feels like a big family and, as they say in their blurb, they “really, truly care about your child and their wellbeing”. They mean that wholeheartedly and you see it in every interaction with students and family.

My son is autistic and struggles with anxiety and sensory processing challenges. The smaller class sizes and out-of-the-box adaptive teaching styles and environment make it possible to meet him where he is at mentally from day to day. I’ve seen the spark in his eye return. He feels safe, happy and excited about learning again! We also love that the whole school is under one roof. From the little Foundation kids all the way up to year 6, they all mingle, learn from and look out for each other.

Good Shepherd is a beautiful small school. I love how it is such a close-knit community and almost feels like a family, from the parents to the teachers. Good Shepherd was the perfect choice to introduce my children to school. They have transitioned so well and I love the close bonds they have with the teachers and students in all year levels.

We first approached Good Shepherd looking for a flexible learning arrangement as we were doing a lot of overseas travel. From the outset, the principal assured us that our circumstances would be no problem to accommodate. We have been exceptionally pleased with the level of attention and care the staff show to students. Good Shepherd may be small, but it presents a perfect package of improved facilities, experienced staff and an engaging, fun environment that our son has thrived in.

Good Shepherd provides a high level of care and understanding. We have appreciated the excellent support our child has received from her teacher, which has enabled her to enjoy her schooling and flourish.

The teachers at Good Shepherd are wonderful people. Their level of dedication to providing an accessible and engaging education fosters a genuine love of learning and gives all students the opportunity to reach their full potential. We feel so fortunate to have found a school that prioritises the development of faith, and values extra-curricular education alongside the academic curriculum.

We love the blend of extra-curricular activities allowing our children to learn the essentials in education but also make them aware of the complex world we live in and providing the students the opportunity to make a difference, which ultimately provides the platform to be the next generation of well rounded, educated citizens.

We were seeking a quiet, calm learning environment to allow our children to be able to concentrate with minimal distraction. Not only was this provided, but our children feel the emotional safety necessary for learning to take place. The school welcomes and embraces all children, celebrating diversity and creating a sense of belonging, happiness and a welcoming warmth.

Our children have benefited from the care and attention that comes with Good Shepherd School. We love the way the IB curriculum has fostered my daughter’s independence and confidence, and helped her to develop strong leadership skills as an IB learner. The school intentionally develops independent learning skills in our children and creates great opportunities for our children to engage in a wide range of experiences.

This is such a beautiful school. The Principal and staff are genuinely warm, caring and compassionate people. Students and parents are greeted by name, and welcomed at the classroom on arrival each morning with a big smile. Parents can confidently leave their children in the care of the school knowing that each child is in a safe and nurturing environment.
