I have seen our school grow over the years & being a part of that vision adds to the sense of community & family values we hold in high regard.

After completing a Diploma in Animal Science at the University of Adelaide (Roseworthy Campus) I moved to Gawler permanently. I lived in Gawler for 17 years where I met my wife Natasha and we started our family of four children. In 2015 I started working at Goldin Farms and now have the position of Racing and Bloodstock Manager. We are very fortunate to be living on the farm in the Angaston area. My eldest daughter completed her primary schooling at Good Shepherd and our other three children are attending Good Shepherd now or in the future.

Being a part of the Good Shepherd community really is like having an extended family.  There is a genuine caring connection within the school. I feel my children are well prepared for the future by their time at Good Shepherd. I have been actively involved in many aspects of the school community for the last eight years. I believe a healthy and robust Governing Council comes from having varying strengths within the group. I have a real heart for the school and passionately bring this perspective to the council.  I have a Degree in Nursing with many years of experience in the industry which leads me naturally into focussing on wellbeing within the school community.

After studying B.Bus Ag(Com) Sydney University (Orange), I’ve acquired +20 years’ experience in commercial and industrial business working in Australian and abroad. I’m the General Manager of the Ahrens Group’s – Grain Storage and Handling Division which led to my wife Sarah and I moving to the Barossa 10 years ago from central NSW. We have 3 beautiful little girls – all attending (and loving) Good Shepherd. Being on the school governing council enables me to assist in continuing the schools positive trajectory, while ensuring we maintain the core focus of providing a safe and wonderful learning environment for our children

Our time at GSLS started back in 2007, and we couldn’t be happier with how our children have grown academically and socially in their time here. My husband and I live on our farm at St Kitts, north of the Barossa Valley, with our 6 children, all of which have attended Good Shepherd Lutheran School. We currently have 4 children still here. I attended GSLS myself and have been on the school council for several years now, and  am extremely passionate about helping to be a part of keeping this wonderful school growing and thriving for many future families to enjoy and benefit from.
