STEM & ICT at Good Shepherd

Our students enjoy engaging and challenging science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) based learning opportunities using a range of ICT technologies which are incorporated across the curriculum in their learning. With the addition of a new ‘Makerbot Replicator+ 3D printer’, students at Good Shepherd are experiencing STEM in a whole new and exciting way bringing their creative ideas and solutions to life.

Students have opportunities to explore the use of other ICT technologies including a full Green Screen and different codable devices such as ‘Beebots’ and ‘Spheros’.

Each student in years 4-7 has their own iPad which accesses the school’s wireless network, providing flexible access to the internet across the school. The iPads enable students to think and learn differently and explore creativity using a different platform; allowing the outside world to be at their finger-tips.

Students in years F-3 have access to classroom iPads which they can collaborate on and which are integrated into lessons, helping them develop their ICT skills from a young age.

Why Good Shepherd Lutheran? Simply put, because we care...
